Cape Hatteras Bed and Breakfast was featured in Travel and Leisure Magazine 2009. The ocean is just 500 feet from a Top 10 Winner of America’s Best Beaches 2009, and rated by Frommer’s as “Highly Recommended”. Our nine-room, smoke-free, AAA three diamond rated Inn is located in the historic village of Buxton near the famous Cape Hatteras Lighthouse.
We strive to be your guest room at the beach, welcoming, clean, comfortable, convenient, relaxed, with island charm, and great breakfasts. Our building was a small family motel built in the 1950's and most rooms have been renovated over the years. In 1991 the business was opened as a B & B by converting and expanding the upstairs area to accommodate guests. The upper decks, and porches and some second floor rooms were added later, providing more of a view, and some large rooms.
As with most bed and breakfast inns, the types of rooms vary, as does the room cost, so that we can provide different rates and amenities. This way our business can accommodate a variety of travelers needs. Some rooms still have the original bathrooms. If you need a more updated feel to a room, please select a more expensive room.
We encourage and provide for special requests for romantic getaways, such as wine, champagne, fruit, and cheeses to make Cape Hatteras B & B your home away from home. See our Specials and Packages. We also understand special dietary considerations with advanced notice.
We provide complimentary beach chairs, bicycles, beach towels, coolers, beach bags, and local advice. Let us know how we can help you with wedding planning, events planning, company retreats, family reunions, or special requests.
